Which battery should I use?
All is not quite as clear when you use a non DJI Drone and you can select alternative LiPo batteries. Although you have much wider choice from many
suppliers and much lower cost. But what do you get performance and endurance wise v weight?
This is when you have do some calculations of mAh, number of cells, temp of operation along with field trials.
Here we have 3 batteries, all the same voltage output but differing power and weight.On the left we have a 7500mAH weight 650g flight time 15mins, in the middle 5200mAh weight 500g flight time 14mins, right 5200mAh weight 450g flight time 10mins.
The best option is the middle battery with weight, performance, and endurance.
Which LiPo Battery ?
The heavy battery is using far more power to keep the drone and additional mass up in the air for just 1 more minute. The middle one will also allow additional payload.
It is amazing all these batteries are far heavier than a Mavic Mini.
