The Sun’s Putting It Right campaign salutes the hero plumber coming to the rescue of the elderly

In the second instalment of The Sun’s new Putting it Right campaign that aims to fix problems our readers are struggling with and to champion unsung heroes, we salute hero plumber James Anderson.

The 50-year-old father of six from Liverpool has been coming to the rescue of the elderly and disabled who can’t afford to pay for boiler repairs.

When we heard about the amazing job James is doing for his local community, The Sun hatched a plan.

A little birdie told us his life’s dream is to drive a 3.0 Ford Capri Mk280. So we arranged for him to have a day off and the chance to get behind the wheel.

Skylark Aerial Photography provided the aerial filming for the story. It was a very wet misty day in Lancashire but we were still able to film the footage. A full day prior to the shooting had been spent looking at suitable locations to deploy a drone. Using walkie talkie’s during the shoot enabled timings of the drone operation to be coordinated and make sure the car was in frame every time.
