Skylark Aerial Photography has been commissioned by DIER & HARE media http://www.dareandhiermedia.com/  to film and produce a series of marketing films in relation to their Great Outdoors Adventures, these will not only be filmed in the Lake District but also the Yorkshire Dales and the Scottish Highlands. The focus is to really showcase the walking and activity holidays.

The Shoot

Film was shot at their Country House locations, then off into the surrounding countryside and fells. Key filming took place at viewpoints, lakeside shoreline and of course low and high fells. Material was shot based on the story board, this enables key shots to be taken and stay on time per shot sequence.

Despite the high winds on the tops, aerial filming still took place. Flying over 300hrs a year enables the pilot to have the skill to fly the drone in these conditions and still be able to take really great footage.

Two days were spent filming the first activity walk; additional film was supplied with GoPro camera attached to some of the walkers.

It’s All in the Edit

The material shot by DJI Inspire, Mavic, Osmo and GoPro was reviewed then selected and placed on the timeline ready to be edited. Strict guidelines had to be adhered to with regards to the branding of the film.

The Final Cut

As with all edits it will go back and forth a number of times before it is signed off. The film will then be used internally and externally to promote the walking holidays.
