Freddie Donald Proposes to Maisie in the Lake District at the Duke of Portland Boathouse Jetty Ullswater.

Early this year we were approached by Freddie Donald who wanted to surprise his girlfriend Maisie with a wedding proposal in the Lakes.

Having carried out a few drone wedding proposals in the Lakes we were well aware of what was required for planning this out.

A location check was carried out when Freddie visited the Lakes at least 1 month prior to the planned date of 24th July 2022.

The first location visit had to be delayed as Freddie had problems with the rail strike and delayed flights from a trip planned prior to the location check.

It was decided just in case the weather would not be suitable for drone on the day that two ground cameras were there to capture the action. however we would loose the wider angle GV’s but at least the moment would be on film.

On the day of the shoot we arrived in plenty of time. However the weather was extremely windy and not at all suitable for the drones. The ground cameras were installed. Again there was as delay of 1.5hrs as Freddie and Maisie had been delayed in traffic.

The cameras were dismantled as rain had begun.

In the end the shoot lasted only 10 minutes as Freddie and Maisie had to rush off for a celebratory meal, but the moment was captured.
