40th Surprise Birthday Shoot

Great to be working with Jamie from Harper Audio Visual Media on a 40th surprise birthday shoot  near Bolton Abbey North Yorkshire.

The event organiser contacted us in June. They were looking for aerial filming and ground based filming of a surprise 007 black tie birthday surprise. Then produce a 10 minute edit of the event.

Jamie and I have worked together on property shoots, training packages, hospitality and tourism.

A shot list was prepared around the information requested from the organiser.

Key moments were the helicopter arrival, GV’s, speeches, bands, cake, surprise as the birthday guest arrives in the helicopter to the event.

In all seven cameras were used for the event including time lapse.

The filming of the helicopter was planned and it was agreed with the pilot that the drone would be on the ground when the helicopter was in the air. However following a risk assessment and much communication the pilot agreed to allow the drone to be airborne when the helicopter took off.

Having filmed helicopters in the air before a safe distance is 50m to prevent backwash from the blades causing issue’s.
