Operational Statistics First Half for Skylark Aerial Photography.

A busy first 6 months for 2019

The half year numbers for commercial operations for 2019 have just been released by our admin staff.

Commercial Operations (each time a flight is logged).

181 flights ranging from 4 minutes to 42 minutes.

The latter being the fixed wing drone which has an endurance of 50 minutes.

The 181 operational flights represent an average of 30 per month or a flight a day.

First half 2019 and 56 hours 30 minutes logged (does not include ongoing training time 4hrs)

This includes:-

• 2 hrs night-time
• 14 hrs internal
• 3 hrs wet weather survey (with all-weather drone)
• 3 hrs fixed wing survey.

Over 15 hours of the total was survey work, which now represents a growing area, with one client a 2-year contract.

Operational Statistics First Half

Knowing your business statistics is crucial to running a business. Then knowing where to improve or provide more marketing.

Customer breakdown shows a dramatic increase in corporate clients. These are now well over 70% of the customer base.

Over the last 4 years Skylark Aerial Photography has provided:-

• aerial filming
• photography
• survey
• inspection

for over 150 customers.

Repeat Custom

Over 20% are repeat custom and Skylark being the preferred supplier. 50% are referrals.

Website is another key element with 30% making an enquiry and then commissioning us.

The total number of persons or companies inquiring from the website which then lead to a commission is around 60%.

Importance of Statistics

Knowing where your leads come from and how many commissions occur from these leads is extremely important. It allows expenditure and marketing to be placed where it is most effective. Here at Skylark we review the data once a month using various methods including Google Analytics.
