Introducing Young People to the Commercial World of Drones. It’s always great to share what you do work wise with young people, especially new technology which undoubtedly will be part of their future, whether it be designing, building, consultant or operating. They may even be flying in them to work in 15 years time.
What better way to share what you do and how the technology is used than at your local school or club. Skylark Aerial Filming has demonstrated and answered many questions at our local infant’s school where our children go. We have also participated in producing an aerial film at a centre providing outdoor activities for disabled young people as our charity gift towards the centres new accommodation block.
Be ready for the questions from children, some of which you may have to think about.

I’m now starting to take our children out on work assignments with me; they may be running Skylark Aerial Photography a few years down the line if that’s what they want to do. But at the present time they are very happy to act as spotters and warn curious folks to stay back when a drone is operating. Of cause earning pocket money for the work they do also helps from their point of view.
However our young daughter nearly 9 years old loves the film shoots and chatting with producers, directors and presenters if its TV work. So it’s not only experiencing the drone operational side but meeting and experiencing how other people work in their profession, two bites out of one cake. Also being out in the Lake District where we are based helps us advise crews on the locations. It’s great to talk about the history and geography of this part of the country when we are filming.
