Windermere Aquatic Ltd Evening Shoot

Skylark Aerial Photography has been commissioned to provide aerial and ground based video & stills for the new marina jetty and piers at Windermere Aquatic Ltd. The initial filming entailed aerial perspectives of the marina in relation to Bowness-on-Windermere and its location on Windermere. Because the weather has to say the least been very unpredictable filming occurred over 3 weeks. Footage was taken early morning, during the day and the evening shoot, a first for Skylark. Current CAA rules say that you are allowed to operate a drone up until 30mins after sunset (unless night operation permission is in place from the CAA). More than enough time to film the sunset and the new jetty lighting. The effect of the sunset and jetty lighting was increased with the use of some special templates within the editing suite. In fact you could film late afternoon and with the digital editing effects available, then present the film as though it had been shot in the evening or even at night such is the power of editing now days.

Skylark is looking to gain permission to operate at night for some filming but for a new venture for using drones, more of this later in the year.

Because of the amount of material filmed for Windermere Aquatic Ltd, two separate films have been made (day and evening) and these have also been combined to produce a long length film with two music scores within the edit.

Skylark will be back to film at Windermere Aquatic on a regular basis throughout the next 12 months.
