Coniston Sailing club is located on the North West shore of Coniston Water.
Coniston Water is approximately 8.5 km long and 0.8 km wide at its widest point. It is subject to a speed limit of 10 MPH for motorised vessels (anything with an engine). It also has 3 ferries, which can be caught from the boating centre and take passengers to different areas of the lake.
