Wedding Celebration at Shaw End Mansion

Wedding Celebration at Shaw End Mansion. During the lovely weather last week I was invited to take some aerial still shots of John and Judy who were celebrating their marriage. The venue was Shaw End Mansion

The mansion was originally built in 1796 by the Shepherd family, wealthy mill owners who could be found to be living at Field End in the early 1600s. The house, designed by Francis Webster who was responsible for many of Westmorland’s country houses, and about a dozen farms stayed with the family into the 20th century.

Its in a fantastic location just North West of Kendal (5km as the crow fly’s) and what a great place to hold the wedding celebration with rolling Cumbrian countryside and even the meandering River Mint in the grounds.

With the glorious weather and great location. The celebration could not have gone better. After a small informal wedding celebration confirmation then the speeches, it was outside to mingle. A keg of beer was on hand with other drinks. Bench tables were ready for the buffet to arrive from a catering company who also served the food.

The drone or drones were deployed prior to the food arriving to capture the guests in front of the mansion and playing various lawn games.

We all wish Mr & Mrs Brooks well for the future.
