Owner & Operator

Skylark Aerial Photography is owned and operated by Simon Handley.

Simon has been building and flying his own FPV (first person view) fixed wing drones for 12 years. These sophisticated drones use their own navigation systems with a video downlink system.

Simon is also an engineer of 25 years travelling globally on projects. When back home there was no better way to relax than mountain biking in the Lakes or flying a fixed wing plane from Carlisle Airport and the local farm strip. Now well over 700 hours logged flying and still current.

Since starting the drone business full time, over 200hrs have been logged on quadcopters in the last 18 months. Includes TV, film, survey and inspection work.

Skylark Aerial Photography uses multiple drones, plenty of batteries, varying lenses, Osmo with Z axis, professional editing suite.

Because Skylark Aerial Photography is based in Cumbria it’s very easy to deploy a drone or two quickly and help with location advice.

Have a look through the video back catalogue http://www.skylark-aerialphotography.co.uk/video/ then give Simon a call. Skylark Aerial Photography is very friendly and I’m sure can help you with your next project.
